Be still and know, oh my soul; that your sinfulness, helplessness, and neediness is far greater than you think it is but be of good cheer, for your God is far more excellent, merciful, wise, and faithful than you think He is. I believe that with all my heart, yet there are times when I question this statement and wonder then why doesn't the assent to this statement not just bring heaven (God's grace) with all its healing power and mercy down to me and correct all the troubles within and without followed by peace of mind?
